Branding

Capitalising on The Chinese University of Hong Kong's (CUHK) internationally acclaimed academic standing and the outstanding achievements of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) in education and medical services. The Chinese University of Hong Kong-Tung Wah group of Hospitals Community College (CUTW) is governed by the College Council comprising experts from CUHK and TWGHs.

Excellence in Teaching

We ensure you that our teaching team in CUTW is highly-qualified and outstanding. Among all teaching staff, 40% of them possess doctoral degrees, and the remaining 60% possess master’s degrees or professional qualifications (eg. Certified accountants, registered Chinese medicine practitioners, registered nurses or registered social workers). Most of our lecturers have extensive teaching and industry experience in their specialized fields, which will be a tremendous help to your studies.

College Governance

The College Council is the governing body of CUTW and is advised by the Committee on College Operations and supported by the Academic Board and the Management Board, among other Council committees. The University Extension Board (UExB) of CUHK is responsible for vetting and endorsing the academic programmes which are subsequently approved by the Senate of CUHK.

Assurance of Programme Quality

The academics of CUHK also act as consultants to the College to help ensure the quality of CUTW programmes. The programmes are monitored and regularly reviewed through class visits, term-end course evaluations, annual evaluation reports and quality assurance reports. CUTW’s graduation list is approved by CUHK and the graduation certificates are issued by CUHK. At the college level, quality of teaching and learning is ensured via an effective programme monitoring mechanism and a two-way communication with students.
