Volunteer work in Campus Scheme
The Volunteer work In Campus Scheme (VIC) is set up to provide work opportunities for students, improve staff/student relations, strengthen students’ sense of belonging to the College, and ease the burden for both teaching and non-teaching units from tasks/duties which are ad hoc or labour-intensive. Units with manpower needs may approach the Office of Student Affairs, which will help recruit student volunteers, monitor the progress, and keep service records.
In 2008/09 academic year, student participants of VIC have provided volunteer services for the following units:
- Division of Foundation Studies
- School of Humanities and General Education
- School of Information Technology and Digital Design
- Student Recruitment and College Promotion Office
The volunteer service will be recorded and reflected in the official Holistic Achievement Transcript (HAT) of students.
