The ‘Building Dreams’ Mentorship Programme aims to give our students an opportunity to connect to mentors who are knowledgeable about life, and are willing to facilitate the students to appreciate the wisdoms of life while establishing their own ideals, goals and values.
Coming from different backgrounds, the mentors share common qualities that make them uncommonly successful: they dream large and are determined to reach for their dreams. Our mentors will be matched with 2 to 3 students (mentees) to form a structured partnership during the mentoring period of 10 months. Communication is requisite for the mentor/mentee partnership, and face-to-face meetings, emails or telephone calls are often adopted as communication channels. The partnership is expected to be a two-way participation whereby both parties will benefit through the unique alliance.
The ‘Building Dreams’ Mentorship Programme is open to all students and the Office of Students Affairs will take charge of the selection, matching and briefing. An inauguration ceremony will be organised at the beginning of the Programme, and there will be gatherings during the mentoring period for all mentors and mentees to get together. All Rights Reserved ©2012 The Chinese University of Hong Kong - Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College.
