Teaching and Learning
- Of course, the majority of programmes will be conducted in English but as for Chinese language, Chinese medicine and some general education courses, they will be conducted in Cantonese.
- The timetable is similar to the timetable of university degree programmes and therefore, mainly day time, but there will be a lot of discussions and group projects for students to engage in after classes. At the same time, the college provides a broad range of extra-curricular activities for students to participate.
- Students must demonstrate 70% or above attendance to be eligible to sit for examinations. Should there be any reason(s) that is legitimate, it is up to the students to be in contact with the college and its staff.
- CUTW has a building in the tranquille environment in Wylie Road, Homantin of Kowloon. The college does not provide accommodation but the purposely built campus has a range of recreation, academic supports including library and canteen for students to enjoy.
- Lecturers are recruited with master degree programmes or above and some of our lecturers are equipped with practical experiences and professional qualifications. Resident Nurse, Registered Social Workers, Qualified Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Certified Accountants, Chartered Marketers etc.
- Every summer, the college offer internships on a competitive basis. Students are welcomed to apply and these internships may be held locally or overseas. However, Hotel & Catering, Health Care and Tourism & Recreation programmes will demand for students to complete 500 hours of practicum and credits are offered for the internships. In addition, TWGHs will offer summer jobs for Associate Degree Year 1 students with good academic grades and employment opportunities for Associate Degree Year 2 graduates who wish to pursue into employment.
