Potential Areas for Further Studies

Entry to Senior Year places of a degree-level nursing programme is subject to open competition. This programme combines theory and practice, and prepares students for a future career in the health care or nursing field.

Career Prospects

  • As the programme is designed to prepare students for a career in the health care profession, 500 clinical practice hours will be conducted at the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.
  • Graduates are also eligible to apply for health care related jobs in hospitals.

Health Care graduates are eligible to apply for entry to Bachelor's Degree programmes in Nursing offered by local universities, subject to open competition and availability of places.

Remarks: Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement for training of registered nurses stated by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. Visit the homepage of the Council for the details : http://www.nchk.org.hk

* 500 hours of clinical practice, normally conducted in the summer months.

* Before clinical practice, students should possess a valid First Aid certificate and body check report. Besides, students should purchase uniform, shoes and other accessories.
