Capitalising on The Chinese University of Hong Kong's (CUHK) internationally-acclaimed academic standing and the outstanding achievements of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) in education and medical services, CUTW is created with a clear goal: to serve our community through innovations in tertiary education. The introduction of CUTW changed the landscape of tertiary education with its outstanding academic programmes and teaching staff.

CUTW aspires to provide students, both local and overseas, with high-quality Pre-Associate Degree (Pre-AD) and Associate Degree (AD) programmes and prepare them for transfer to senior years of university studies and for their future careers.

CUTW admitted its first cohort of students in September 2005. Enjoying a wealth of quality programmes, teaching staff and learning facilities, CUTW is poised to become one of the best international centres for tertiary education in Asia.
