The fast advancement of information and communications technology in recent decades has brought about great changes and challenges to the modern world. A new economy is emerging. In the process of developing a knowledge-based infrastructure for this new economy, a large number of young professionals – well-equipped with the ability to innovate and create – are required. They should be able to make proper judgment on how to apply (or not to apply) existing and emerging technologies in their working environment, as well as their daily lives.
